It is extremely light weight, yet it can resist cracking, splintering, or swelling. Cedar products can last 25-30 years unfinished. It will be shipped in its natural golden color. You can leave it like that, or stain it with a water based oil stain. Protect and preserve your cedar furniture with the Staining Kit. If you leave it as is, it will naturally weather to a silver gray. This is normal and adds to the character of the piece. The choice is up to you!
