About Old Adirondack and Cedar
Northern white cedar is unique, because it is naturally resistant to wood rot and pests.
It is extremely light weight, yet it can resist cracking, splintering, or swelling because it absorbs and loses moisture slowly.

It will be shipped in its natural golden color. You can leave it like that, or stain it with a water based oil stain that will slow the weathering process. If you leave it as is, it will naturally weather to a silver gray.
