Writing Desk with Drop Leaves Extended
Designed in the Old World style, this writing desk is a beautiful, heirloom quality accent piece as well as a functional place for paying bills or doing paperwork. It is crafted from a fine selection of mahogany, walnut and oak, overlaid with rosewood and mahogany swirl veneers. A Warm Brown finish brings out the natural beauty of the wood. This writing desk is finished on all four sides, allowing it to be placed freestanding in a room.
The drop leaf desk top features a gorgeous burl veneer inlay, bordered by complementary rotary trim. Two leaves extend the desk top from 65″ wide to a very spacious 82″ wide. Below are two storage drawers with distinctive, classic lion′s head pulls.
A trestle base also contributes to the Old World look of the writing desk. The turned trestle brace is elegantly fluted, as are the desk legs. Lion′s paw feet are a classic finishing touch.
