Rare Crotch Mahogany Veneer
Breathtaking, rare crotch mahogany veneer accents the lid and drawer fronts of this heirloom quality drop front secretary desk. It is a magnificent piece, from the overhanging cornice and dentil moulding at its top, down through its patterned glass hutch doors and shaped bracket feet. It is crafted from maple solids, with crotch mahogany and sketch faced veneer for added beauty and interest.
The top hutch of the secretary desk features touch lighting and two adjustable glass shelves with plate grooves for display of favorite decorative items. Behind the locking drop front desk lid are pigeonholes and additional storage for paperwork and supplies. Four solid wood drawers provide even more storage, making this secretary desk as functional as it is beautiful.
Note: Crotch mahogany veneers are cut from the area where the limbs and tree trunk intersect, resulting in a rare, one-of-a-kind woodgrain design on each piece.
