    Step 1:
  • Choose a location that is well ventilated and allows for easy movement.
  • Protect floor area with plastic or newspaper
  • Assemble supplies

    Step 2:
  • Prepare Surface of wood nightstand by sanding lightly with the direction of the grain.

    Step 3:
  • Apply stain of your choice with brush or rag lightly wiping surface to remove excess stain. Let dry.

    Step 4:
  • Apply sealer to nightstand with brush. Let dry. Lightly go over surface again with sand paper.

    Step 5:
  • Apply top coat to nightstand. For added protection, sand lightly again and apply 2nd layer of top coat. Let dry.

Excellent service and well made nightstand - turned out beautiful!, July 21, 2009

I have finished a lot of unfinished furniture, and this nightstand is by far one of the easiest to assemble and is so well made. The wood is so smooth that I did not have to sand anywhere. After staining, varnishing, and adding beautiful drawer knobs, it looks like it is straight from the furniture store. I am very happy with it!
