Q. How do you make your products so affordable?

A. There are several ways we can pass savings in costs along to our valued customers.

  1. We ship all our products Flat Packed (Ready to Assemble). This means huge savings in terms of freight and warehouse costs. That's because pre-assembled products would take up a greater percentage of warehouse and trucking space.
  2. Doing the assembly yourself makes the product more affordable.
  3. You receive products delivered directly from the Factory (through our authorized website retailers), which eliminates extra handling, or
  4. You pick-up our products at your local authorized Prepac retailer which saves the typical home delivery charges on assembled case goods.

Additionally, all products are manufactured in a State-of-the-Art manufacturing factory. Each component of every product is carefully engineered to be produced with minimal handling, but without compromising quality, function and value. Products are manufactured in batches of thousands which results in good economies. In Europe, over 40% of all furniture is bought RTA and currently, most automated manufacturers of precision "assembled furniture" use this same RTA component method of manufacturing to ensure higher quality goods.

Q. What are PREPAC's products made of?

A. Most of our products are made from a combination of Engineered Woods - a mixture of high quality, hard and soft wood materials which generally come from the surplus of the original lumber processing. Commonly referred to as MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and Composite Wood, these materials are wood fibers bonded together with a synthetic resin in a process that combines high heat and pressure to make a very stable, environmentally friendly product. The result is dense, strong panels of fiberboard and/or particleboard (composite wood) which are then laminated with durable, attractive finishes. These materials are then further manufactured into furniture components in a precision, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Components are inspected and packaged with high quality, European hardware that has been designed to make home assembly quick and easy.

Q. What is a Hybrid product?

A. A Hybrid combines Solid and Engineered Woods to give you a product with the look and feel of a Solid Wood product, but with the affordability and stability usually afforded only with composite woods. Our Hybrids use traditional 5 panel Solid Oak Doors in conjunction with a cabinet manufactured from precision Engineered Wood components, giving you an easy to clean, laminated interior that will give you a lifetime of value at an exceptional cost.

Q. Are the units easy to assemble?

A. Yes. Each unit comes with detailed assembly instructions and one person can assemble most of them in well under an hour. 3. Calculate the position that you want you shelf to be at and set the dowels in place.
