Top is not formica nor waterproof. I is losing the finish after 4 months use. I am disappointed in the top of the cabinet because you cannot keep your coffee pot on it. We bought the cabinet to keep our microwave, toaster and coffee pot neatly arranged in the kitchen. The top does not wear well.

Received my order on time. Assembly not bad and looks good. I saved at least $100 by not buying at our local "Big Red Box" store and that includes paying the shipping. Am very satisfied and I will probably make other purchases in the future.
