Odd furniture bought by Brad at Switzerland's Art Basel fair

What do this $259,000 table, this foam and fiberglass “Family” lamp, and this lava-stone chair have in common? They are all eclectic furniture pieces bought by Brad Pitt as a gift for his wife, Angelina Jolie, on her 33rd birthday.

I can’t help but wonder if perhaps she wouldn’t rather have had another Diamond tennis bracelet? Okay, so the table is kind of interesting, and pretty, I guess. But the rest? Yick. Clearly, being a celebrity does not impart good taste. In fact, the opposite may be true.
