Lead Standards Tighten in 2009
Starting on August 14, 2009, standards for lead in paint and wood finishes for youth furniture will change from 600 parts per million to 90 parts per million. The CPSC is incouraging companies to apply the same standards to adult furniture.
Items covered include kids’ desks, kids’ beds, kids’ tv stands, and more.
