CEO Tracy Norris, Call Center & Professional Writers acquire invaluable knowledge and expertise in the HON® furniture products and business model
Wichita, KS (PR Buzz) August 3, 2010 - Professionals from iFurn.com, the furniture experts® visited HON Headquarters in Muscatine, IA for a week of intensive training July 19th - 23rd in order to gain exclusive knowledge and expand their capabilities in making the HON brand more accessible to online consumers. Due to their strong product line and environmentally conscious practices, HON is one of the leaders in the furniture industry.
Tracy Norris, CEO of iFurn.com, and selected members of his team, saw firsthand the way HON has established a unique position in the furniture market: “HON provided us with the opportunity to compare competitive brands of office furniture products such as office chairs, file cabinets and panel systems against the HON brand,” said Norris. “It was surprising to find out that HON office furniture is made sturdier, with better environmentally friendly materials and with smarter design features than competitors such as Herman Miller, Steelcase, Knoll, Global, SitOnIt, and Hayworth.”
iFurn.com wants consumers to feel assured that their store has an intimate knowledge of every product they carry, and are taking an active role in their education to always improve the customer’s experience. The goal of any online retail outlet is to expand the “shop-ability” of their site for the best experience possible. While some online stores are content with getting their product information from brochures and slides, iFurn.com has taken the extra step on behalf of the consumers by seeing the products firsthand.
“I appreciated the ‘hands on’ experience that was given,” said Kellie Martin, Customer Service Specialist. “It helps when speaking to a customer who isn’t sure what ‘Pneumatic Seat Height Adjustment’ or ‘Synchronized Knee Tilt’ means. I can now explain those terms and so much more.”
The iFurn team toured the HON manufacturing plant seeing for themselves the quality of materials and expertise of their manufacturing team. “Being able to see the entire process of how HON manufactures their furniture from the fabric cutting to the final assembly is quite a fascinating process,” said Norris. “The experience definitely enhances my belief that HON furniture is a quality, made in the USA product.”
The iFurn team is proud to be the only company to offer the entire line of HON furniture (excluding the abound series) on their website www.iFurn.com.
